Nehemiah had a great dream: To rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. At that time it was very important that the city had the walls, because they protected the city against invading enemies. But in order to fulfill his dream he had to overcome some things.
Let us see what Nehemiah has overcome and what we can learn from him to rebuild our dreams.
1 - An opposition.
Nehemiah 4: 1, says that Nehemiah overcame the opposition of Sanballat and Tobiah. Opponents will be on their way. This is a fact! Win this in the name of Jesus!
2-Some will abandon you.
Nehemiah 4:10 shows that some who began that work with Nehemiah did not continue. They gave up but Nehemiah did not stop even though the other stopped.
3- Maintain focus.
Nehemiah 6: 3 reports that he was on the rebuilding walls, someone came asking him to stop the work, but he replied: "I am doing a great work and I can not stop!" In other words, he kept his focus on the dream.
4 - Trust in God.
Nehemiah 6: 9 we read that he asked God to strengthen his hands. He did not want to give up, he wanted to trust in God to complete the realization of that dream. God will renew your strength, your faith, and your hope. Trust in God.
5 - It will be faster than you think.
Nehemiah 6:15 says that with 52 days that work was completed. It was faster than Nehemiah imagined. He distanced himself and when he saw the walls from afar he said: It was difficult, but it was worth it!
Nehemiah gives us an excellent example. May we learn from Nehemiah these five principles for realizing a dream!
- First - there will be opponents.
"Second, some will abandon you."
- Third - Keep your focus.
- Fourth - Trust in God.
"It's going to be faster than you think."
Think about it and success.
Have a great week.
God bless you immensely.
I pray for you.
