68 year old woman gives birth to twins and doctor say: 'Miracle'

After 43 years of trying, a 68-year-old woman fulfilled her dream of becoming a mother for the first time. She and her husband, 70, underwent three in vitro fertilizations. On the last 14th, the twins of the Nigerian couple were born. According to Noah Adenuga, the children's father, the couple did the procedure in the United Kingdom and then returned to Nigeria.

Until they decided on fertilization, the couple received a series of negative responses from doctors who considered the procedure unwise. The doctor who followed the pregnancy, Adeyemi Okunowo, considered the birth a miracle. Despite this, he highlighted the risks that the mother took because of a pregnancy at 68 years.

The hospital that performed the fertilization said that it generally does not do this procedure in women of this age. However, they agreed with the attempt as it was a medical responsibility. It was not disclosed whether the couple used their own eggs and sperm or whether they resorted to a donation bank.

The mother and children have already been discharged and are healthy at home.
