At age 105, the elderly woman continues to preach every week: "Jesus first"

At age 105, Pastor Hattie Mae Allen is a great-great-grandmother who continues to preach sermons every week. Already 57 years dedicated to ministering the Word of God.

Allen was honored by his church in Temple City, Texas, on Sunday, June 9. On occasion, she went to the altar with the help of a walker, sat in a chair and also preached.

She urged Christians to live in holiness. "We have to be separated from anything that is not His," Allen said. "We have to put Jesus first."

The preacher went on to say that God's love makes you love other people. "He wants us to be in love," she said. "Love is something beautiful. I love everybody. I have two daughters, one is 84 years old and the other is 70 years old. I love them, but I do not love them enough to put God down and follow them. "

Bishop Aaron Toliver, who oversees Allen's church and seven others, said the old woman has been pastor for nearly 60 years. She is the daughter of a bishop, who had 12 children, five of whom became preachers.

Two of your brothers are still alive. Her 95-year-old brother lives in California and her sister, E.J. White, 96, is pastor of a church in Phoenix, Arizona. Allen calls himself a teacher, not a preacher. Even if she does not have a formal degree, she says she has a "PhD" in Jesus.

"I have the yearning for a pure heart, and that's what God will honor in the end," she said. "As a child I was sent to study in the room and then I went to the room to tell [what I studied] to my mother. For this and more, I learned to live as an example of a member of the Body of Christ. I was raised with love, respect and good virtues. "

Ruth Freeman, one of Allen's daughters, told Fox News that it's lovely to see your mother living so devotedly to the work of God. "For her to still be able to do that, and honor her at age 105 and she still has that desire ... That was just wonderful. That's a blessing! "Said Freeman.

The matriarch still lives alone, or as she says, "I and Jesus," where she hosts church services on Tuesdays and Thursdays. When she is feeling well, on most Sundays, she ministeres to anyone to the church building.

Toliver, who has been a preacher for more than 30 years, says that over the years he has been blessed by Allen's knowledge. He described her as a woman "full of wisdom and knowledge."

"I believe she was sent by God to help me. She is a wonderful woman of God, "said the bishop.
