For the first time in at least a hundred years, members of the United States presidential cabinet participate in a group that studies the Bible every week.
Every Wednesday, some of the world's most powerful people gather in a conference room in Washington to learn and talk about God.
The place of the meetings is kept under absolute secrecy, by determination of the Secret Service. The names of the members of the group, however, are not considered "state secrets".
US Vice President Mike Pence, new Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos; the Energy, Rick Perry, and the Secretary of Justice, Jeff Sessions, for example, are some of those who study the Bible together. Altogether, ten members of Trump's cabinet participate in the group. They do not always go to all meetings, but appear when they have no commitments already signed.
The meetings last from 60 to 90 minutes and the participants are led by a teacher, with whom they can have private conversations after the group sessions.
